Short Information:
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the All India National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024 once again. The application start and end dates will be announced soon, but the NTA has recently released a calendar, disclosing the exam date for NEET UG 2024. Similar to the previous year, the exam will be conducted in offline mode. Notably, there has been a revision in the syllabus for the NEET UG 2024 exam, and the National Medical Commission (NMC) has unveiled the updated syllabus. Prospective candidates are advised to refer to the information brochure for details on college lists, eligibility criteria, age limits, attempts, and other essential information pertaining to the NEET UG 2024 exam. (Tentative) Eligibility Code for NTA NEET 2024 UG
- NEET UG Code 01: A candidate currently in their 12th standard (qualifying examination) in 2024 with awaited results can apply for NEET UG. However, eligibility for MBBS or BDS admission is contingent upon passing the qualifying examination with the required percentage during the first round of counseling.
- NEET UG Code 02: Candidates completing Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 after 12 years of study are eligible. The last two years must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (with practical tests) and Mathematics or another elective subject, along with English at the prescribed level by the NCERT.
- NEET UG Code 03: Candidates with an Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science from an Indian University/Board, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (with practical tests), and compulsory English, are eligible.
- NEET UG Code 04: Candidates having passed the Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology, and English after Higher Secondary or Pre-University are eligible. The examination includes practical tests in these subjects.
- NEET UG Code 05: Candidates who have completed the first year of a three-year degree course from a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (including practical tests) are eligible. The earlier qualifying examination must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-Technology with English at a core course level.
- NEET UG Code 06: Candidates passing the B.Sc. Examination from an Indian University, with a minimum of two subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology, are eligible. The earlier qualifying examination should include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
- NEET UG Code 07: Candidates who have passed an examination equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board are eligible. The examination must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (with practical tests) and English, maintaining the scope and standard of the last two years of 10+2 study.
