- Government has fixed March 31, 2023 as the last date to link/add Aadhaar card and PAN card.
- Citizens who have not yet linked their Aadhaar card with PAN link can do so online immediately.
- To link Aadhaar card with PAN card or to check its status, the candidate has to enter his Aadhaar card number and PAN card number on the said portal, after that it will appear in the portal whether your Aadhaar card and PAN card are linked or not.
How to Link Aadhar Card with Pan Card Online 2023
- Linking PAN card with Aadhaar is a simple and online process.
- Citizens should first check their linking status online.
- Step 1: Open the income tax portal www.incometax.gov.in. Click on the “Link Aadhaar” option.
- Step 2: Enter PAN card and Aadhaar card numbers.
- Step 3: Provide mobile number for OTP verification.
- Step 4: After verification, select Assessment Year (AY) as 2023-24. Choose Type of Payment as “Other Receipts (500)” and pay a fee of Rs.1000.
- Step 5: Download the payment receipt.
- Step 6: After 4 to 5 working days, log in again without making a payment.
- Step 7: Wait for the details to match with UIDAI. Check the status periodically to confirm the linkage of Aadhaar card with PAN card.
